Welcome to the community! This forum exists to share knowledge, support learning, and celebrate sign languages around the world. To keep the space safe and respectful, please follow these guidelines:
Be respectful
- Treat all members with kindness.
- Assume good intentions.
- No bullying, insults, or mocking.
- Respect Deaf culture and identities.
Inclusive language
- Be mindful of tone.
- Avoid offensive or derogatory terms.
- Respect differences in sign languages and regional variations.
Safe content — NOT allowed
- Hate speech or discrimination (race, disability, gender, etc.).
- Harassment or threats.
- Sexual or explicit content.
- Violence or graphic material.
- Self-harm encouragement.
- Illegal activities or instructions to commit them.
Educational focus
- Encouraged: learning sign languages, sharing resources, asking questions, helping others, cultural discussion.
- Do NOT spread misinformation or present personal opinions as facts.
Respect privacy
- Do not share personal information (yours or others).
- No posting private conversations or images without permission.
Original content & credits
- Credit sources when sharing materials.
- Do not upload copyrighted content you don’t own.
Posting rules
- Use clear and descriptive titles.
- Choose the correct language and topic category.
- Stay on topic and be constructive.
- Keep posts readable — use formatting and short paragraphs.
Consequences
- Breaking these guidelines may result in: warning, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent ban.
- Repeated or severe violations escalate faster.
