A lot of the signers make the letter “o” look to similar to e and s a lot of the time and it’s too confusing :/ I used heart bits trying to figure it out :’)

From the perspective of a hearing person like me, some sign letters and words might be confusing. To me though, sign letters o, e and s are quite distinctive and easy to tell apart. However, watching DHH individuals converse sometimes look amazing and almost magical. It makes me wonder if it's possible to reach that level without having someone to sign with constantly. I'm a fan of sign language and learning but some odd signs can still be challenging. Just keep learning constantly and I think we'll get the hang of it.

Right?! Watching fluent native signers have a full conversation is honestly SO cool, It can definitely feel like magic at first, but you’d be surprised how far you can get just by staying consistent. Keep at it, you’ll get there! 👏

Thank you so much for the feedback! We completely understand the confusion. We just made a post explaining this and the improvements we’re making to make the signs clearer. Thanks for helping us make Intersign better!

live stream sign feature

I’ve been learning ASL on this app for a long time now, and it’s been really helpful. But sometimes when I have the seldom chance to sign with real people, I get a little lost. I think it would be great if the app had a live video feature where learners can sign with actual people in real time. It would make learning more interactive, fun, and easier to understand especially for people like me who love ASL but don’t have anyone to practice signing with.

Free game

Can you guys please make a free game even like a endless quiz game. I really need a review because I lock in so hard and then I have trouble remembering all the words

Add a flag to report

I wish there was a flag to report typos or something that needs to be reviewed within each lesson. I just finished watching a video that signed that she liked chicken noodle soup, but there's a sign after "chicken" that looks like "sushi." I found it a weird soup, but it was an option, so I chose it. It was wrong. I also saw "don't" spelled as "do'nt" in another lesson. I feel bad that I can't flag things to help improve the app.

InterSign on YouTube?

Do you all have a YouTube channel? If not, it would be a great way to advertise this app. I'd definitely love people doing a newsletter, telling jokes or stories in ASL with it maybe repeated with captions.

YouTube is a fun way to learn.

There are lots of videos on learning the basics, conversational ASL, sentence structure and more!
