I don't know any sign language. I go here to learn it and it shows me how to do it once and expects me to remember it. Also the video will not replay when I press replay. Please help! I am having trouble finding good apps to learn how to sign for free!

ASL is not a signed translation of English, it is a different language with different syntax, mannerisms and structure. Learning a new language is difficult for most people. Youtube is free but it will not structure your learning in a progressive developmental fashion. Contact customer support because You should be able to watch the videos as many times as you need before moving into the lesson. The lessions are structured around repetition. Personally I think this is the best free app available to get you started on your ASL journey. But that journey will extend way beyond this app if you really want to learn ASL. You have to be motivated and commit weather it’s here or some where else. good luck.

they don't just show you once and expect you to remember. if the videos aren't replaying then your experiencing a bug of some sort but I don't know how to fix it. you might want to contact support because that's not supposed to be how it works

13 that’s awesome you are taking an interest in learning another language while your still young with a sharp mind that still absorbs information quickly. I wish I would have started my ASL journey 40 years ago when I was 13.

I think you might want to try the app on another device and see. My experience is that, and surprisingly, the app performs better on my backup phone Google Pixel 4a running Android 13 (no longer supports security updates but still receives Google play system updates), than my main device Google Pixel 8 that's running the very latest Android 17 and all the freshest updates. I don't think the app performs better on my backup phone because of the old OS though. Also, both my mobile devices are Pixel phones. Yet, the video lessons take an age to replay on my Pixel 8, and the learning experience isn't as smooth as on my old phone. I totally agree that to replay a lesson before answering the question is important for learners, because it's hard getting the nuances and the bits that a learner may or will definitely miss in a single play. Also, learners purposefully or intentionally want to replay those video lessons/questions because you just found some interesting part of the sign language that you probably didn't know before or just plain interesting. It took me a long time before I discovered the app plays better on my old phone and it just changed my learning journey. I hope this helps.

I have a pixel 6a and when I press replay the button goes away, but it doesn't play.

Also this is really fun! Two other people in my history class are learning sign language and another is alrighty really good at it!
We’ve received several reports from learners who noticed that the letter O can look like an E in some videos, like in the word “SOUP” in ABC 3, Lesson 2. Miss Lesli, is actually spelling S-O-U-P correctly. However, we completely understand why it can look like S-E-U-P, especially if you are still learning the differences between these handshapes. The confusion comes from the way the letter O is being presented in the video. When Miss Lesli forms the O, her fingertips are facing toward the camera, which makes the circular shape of the O difficult to see from the viewer's perspective. The O and E can look quite similar from this angle, particularly to someone who is still becoming familiar with ASL. There is an important difference: when forming the O, the fingertips come together with the thumb to create a complete closed circle. With the E, the fingertips curl down but do not form that same fully closed circle against the thumb. Unfortunately, the current camera angle makes this distinction much harder to see than it should be. We've actually received similar feedback from learners, so we agree that this is something we need to improve (Same with spelling videos where letters M & N are used). We will be updating these videos and adjusting how the signs are presented so that the handshapes and spelling are much clearer for new learners. Learning a few ASL signs used in Christian worship can help share faith in a clear and meaningful way. • God – An open hand moves upward from the forehead. The motion points upward, symbolizing God above us. • Jesus – The middle finger touches the center of each palm. This represents the nail wounds from the crucifixion. • Pray – Hands together near the chin in a prayer position, representing speaking to God. • Church – Fingers interlock, symbolizing believers gathered together as one body. • Bible – Hands open like a book, representing the Scriptures being read and shared. • Holy Spirit – A hand moves outward from the mouth like breath or wind, reflecting how Scripture often describes the Spirit.
