Embrace the difficulty. If its too easy you won't enjoy it. However, pace yourself. If you try to cram too much info into your head...it doesn't have any place to stick. Learn a litle, bask in the knowledge add a little pride and repeat. :)

If you wanted to learn you had a reason. Keep it in your mind, it will all be worth it. I don't get to practice with people or interact with many deaf people, but I know why I wanted to learn, and I finished all of the lessons here and still come back everyday to refresh signs.

I sincerely hope you do not possess an instinctive desire to give up when you anticipate difficulties in life. You’ll find yourself giving up on all the rewards life has to offer because the truly important rewards have to be earned. I suggest give it the 6 minimal lessons per day for just one month. Then in your normal travels to Walmart, the mall, standing in line at the DMV or where life takes you introduce yourself to any you come across from the deaf community and tell them why you are learning ASL. After that you’ll know.

Just repeat lessons to help retain it and try and use the signs as you go through the day to help. Don’t move on. it does get hard to remember. I was getting overwhelmed by section 11. I have to go back and refresh my memory regularly. Repetition is key.
I just got the 600 stars award for advanced spelling. That was the last award I needed.
Not bragging here but simply marking the achievement. Today I hit One full year streak for ASL lessons. It helps that I am retired but I wanted to make a point that you are NEVER too old to learn a new language. I wish there were more TV shows or Movies that used ASL.. Somebody should start a trend!
Hi guys, its been 12 days and i already know the whole alphabet im so happy
Let's celebrate 🥳 our Achievements & Encourage each other to continue to Learn and Practice! As One ASL Community!!!
