First, let me congratulate all of the people sitting here at Grand Champion this week. 🥳🎉 Next, I think the novelty of competition has worn off now. The anxiety of competing against 4 people to stay in the top 2 will be my undoing. That's too much stress. 🤣 I'll still keep my streak but, I think it's time for me to find another place to learn more so I can truly be fluent. Afterall, I'm doing this so I can teach my deaf son since cochlear repeatedly fails him. Again, congrats. You all are doing great. 🥰🤗

Sorry to see you go, Jen, but I understand. i continue to do my “6 per day” just for the sake of repetition being helpful, but I feel like the learning has stagnated. the league has outlived its usefulness. I volunteer at a hospital and figured I would someday have a deaf customer; so far found only one deaf custodian , but she got reassigned to another area, so no more practice or motivation from her. I have enjoyed your presence on the app. God bless you and your son. Mike.

We hear you on the stress from the current competitive setup. We’re actively working on adding new signs regularly (every 1–2 months), plus new flashcards and features to keep learning fresh and engaging. We also want to make achievements like yours feel more meaningful—Grand Champion recognition (like profile/forum badges) is something we’re exploring. Thank you. I worked really hard to get there. Competitive nature. lol. I like the ideas you're suggesting. I've rounded up some ideas from my son, my daughter, and myself as well. -Some of the signs need to be fixed. For instance pineapple and avocado are showing the same sign. I worried about learning ASL from the many books we own because I didn't want to get the signs wrong. That's what lead me here. -In some of the tests there are words missing like "please" in an answer when she signs it. Another has her signing what in between but, the answer also doesn't have that for an answer. Both my son and I read lips incredibly well, it's how he didn't get a diagnosis until he was 5. That being said it's been difficult not reading the lips of the teachers while also retaining what we're learnjng. -My daughter is legally blind in 1 eye and low vision in the other so something that she has requested is maybe a way to zoom in and pause. Because even with the other angles it's difficult for her to understand the signs. I end up signing them for her and helping her which is fine but, maybe other people on the app don't have that. -My son has mentioned that he stopped because it felt too hard to get some profile avatars that he liked. Maybe a little more diversity and some options earlier in game play. And the background area on our page as well. -Finally this function here is nice maybe a FB group so we can build as a community and connect with others. This is just a few things and I know it's a tall order so just something to think about. Thank you for all that you're doing this app has really made a difference for my family and I would like to stay here.
