I am wondering when…

*The person you are talking about is not present*

Say your in a conversation and your talking about “him” or “her”, do you specify in the conversation, “girl” before you point on the side of you or “boy” to be specific in who you are talking about?

Thx

The best way to do that is to use there name 🙂 So fingerspell there name or use there sign name

I like the comment ASL Rocks gave finger spell the individuals name Now there maybe another suggestion that's equally effective but I certainly believe that was a good idea!😊😘😃

How do ppl usuallh choose their sign name? Do hearing ASL signers usually choose one too?

So usually as far as I know deaf people who are friends with hearing people usually give them a sign name. Which either can be a sign as an attribute of their character or a sign about their actual letter of their name.

yea I have heard that too. that hearing individuals do not give out sign names you only receive a sign name from someone who is deaf
