I wear hearing aids because I’m deaf but I can talk but with out my hearing I can not hear só I would like learn sign languages só when I don’t have in I can communicate to say what going on

I live in America, so I’m not really familiar with any British grammar. But I’m pretty good at ASL so I decided to try BSL and it was a lot harder than I thought. I’m not trying to brag or anything, but ASL actually makes sense because some of the letters look really similar to the actual letter in the alphabet. BSL is just random signs and you just have to memorize it. Any tips?

Basically im on lesson 4 of the animals section and i was struggling to translate from BSL to English. She signed “Chicken” then “Good” and the translation was “The chicken is good”. I was wondering how i would know if it was “The chicken are good” “The chicken is good” Or simply “Chicken is good” or something since she only used two signs. Can someone please explain? :)

I LOVE this app, It has tought me lots, beacause even though I am a hering person and have no deaf people around me, I always wanted to learn. But there is a problem, the BSL part of the app only has three sections and although you can learn over 150 sings, It is not enough for my curiosity. So i ask for more sections if posible. Thanks. Ps: I don't know if the forum IS for this but I wanted to say It.

Please add more content to bsl. Fantastic app, but I do feel a bit cheated as splashed out on premium to realise that the 3 sections is all there is. I've already completed all the lessons and eager for more.

So I've learnt that you're meant to use the same hand for each sign, normally your dominant hand, so that's what I've been doing, but the person on the videos appears to be switching thei dominant hand? Are they? Do I stick with one hand? Or am I just meant to sign "apple" with my non-dominant hand? I don't get it, and if they're switching, how do I know which hand I should be using when it's a two hand sign? Also, did anyone else get the question where the answer was "soup" but they spelt "siup" or something?

I have tried ASL before BSL I think BSL is easy to me just like ASL because BSL deals with both of my hands instead of just BSL where I have to use just my right hand.

Using other apps I have seen lots of different signs being used- some people use slightly different variations. do I need to learn all of them or are some incorrect? Also will deaf people understand if I only know or use one?
