I am so frustrated!

help with asl

Hi! I’ve been doing asl for about 4yrs now not counting college classes. Which I’m about to start (2yr program). In those 4 yrs I haven’t had much of a chance to actually get some communication in. 1. I was homeschooled (not much help) 2. I live in a small town I don’t get a lot of chance to go to deaf events or anything. I was wondering if anyone would like to help me? Just like communication with asl so we both can get better and comprehend it! Thanks!

ASL

I have a friend learning ASL with me, I know a teacher that is hard of hearing and knows sign language, and I've been in a sign language club before. I hope I can meet other people when I move that know ASL because it's so fun and I want to support people any way I can.

Learning for my students and myself

I am Chris, School Counselor/504 Coordinator & LPC-Intern Angelo State University, in Texas who's also DHH- hard of hearing bilaterally. From childhood- late adolescence I used hearing aids, but for family religious reasons wasn't able to participate in ASL classes. As an adult I currently use hearing aids bilaterally, but I knew I lacked the strength in the area of ASL Sign Language communication and interpretation. Moving forward, I want to provide one more additional support for my students, as well as for myself. I look forward to meeting others and hope there are learning communities.
